OBE Tips From Anna

Its been a while I have checked the site, and read the numerous letters of others. Im glad I have now, and also would like to write you again. I have written back a couple of months ago, telling you about my first couple of experiences, and asking your guidance, which helped me a LOT. Unfortunately I have been slacking off greatly with my practices, I guess all this stress in live and nonsense prevents me from having my own little piece of space.

The reason Im writing this letter today, is that I would like to offer some advices to others like me, who have tried, and are just learning OBE. Hopefully my experiences and findings will also help, although they are not yet as vast as yours. Still, here it is.:)

1) Healthy spirit lives in a healthy body. I found it to be very difficult to get in touch with yourself if I am in pain. Headaches, colds, flu, stress, anxiety...all and more have prevented me from being able to relax. I try to wait until I get better, or that my life isnt so bumpy, so nothing interferes with my attempt to 'rise' into a higher state of being.

2) If you still have fears (like i still do, unfortunately), avoid horror movies, or emotionally charged books, games, or anything else that might get you 'all worked up'. I found that watching scary movies makes relaxing and battling fear much harder. In fact I made a resolution to resolve all conflicts with my spouse before attempting an OBE. Make peace within your house, and peace will be in your heart.

3) Another thing on fear. I know many people feel a presence, as do i most of the times. What helps me is chanting 'Peace, comfort, safety, love' in my mind. But not only chant it, but believe each word, it usually helps me dissolve my fears.

4)Exercise. I know it mind sound a bit patronizing, but it actually helped me to be in control of my body when trying to do relaxation. I could actually tell where my muscles are. Plus it certainly would help dealing with stress and disease much better, which will make you wanna try OBE's often.

5)Keeps animals out of the room you doing it in. Especially cats. although some people prefer to have a cat I sometimes do, so if 'something goes wrong' my cat should know about it. Call it a superstition. But cats stare at you, they pounce at your feet, fall of things and make aweful lot of racket. I cannot count how many times my cat scared me senseless.

7) Music rocks for OBE! It of course depends on personal choice of relaxing music. I avoid anything aggressive, violent sounding, anything with lyrics and sharp sounds. Lyrics makes you concentrate on the song, and sharp sounds simply startle me when im completely relaxed. My choice is trance/techno, or light classical. I found an excellent techno/trance group that offers a vast library of music that helped me to practice my obe's. the name is Astral Projection, they actually have one song called "astral Projection' that is about an hour long. The song is perfect for OBE.
