@Black Dragon - wissenschaft vs spekulation

hi, ich poste das jetzt mal hier oben hin, weil die antwort noch ein anderes thema berührt, nämlich die frage nach wissenschaft versus spekulation und was in den medien (die quellen bei youtube kennt man ja meistens auch nicht!) so alles verzapft wird.
es geht also um wissenschaftliche untermauerung der 2012 -these. man kann dazu auf youtoube den ausschnitt eines videos sehen, das man offenbar im falle von interesse auch erwerben kann. so, wie das da dargestellt ist, klingt es auch alles plausibel. ich befasse mich im rahmen eines projektes mit der 2012-these ständig und war deshalb persönlich an der antwort interessiert. dem astronomen hatte ich, außer deinen fragen, sowohl das foto wie auch den link zu youtube gemailt. hier ist die antwort:

We don't really move closer to the galactic center in our orbit. Our orbit around the galaxy is very circular to within a fraction of a percent.

It is true that our galaxy has a flat disk and its true that we pass through it every 30-35 million years. However, the disk is not some very thinly defined object we will suddenly enter in 2012. The disk is several thousand light years thick and it takes us over 100,000 years to pass through it! We are not going to be significantly closer to or farther away from it in 5 years (especially when you consider that we are moving only a fraction of the speed of light). Since we are not passing through a thick spiral arm, our radiation environment will have no noticeable change at all.

I mean, they get everything wrong. The aren't even close to getting the mass of the black hole at the center of our galaxy correct (they say trillions of solar masses, in reality its a few million so they are off by a factor of at least a million!) They do not understand the physics of rotating black holes or why our galaxy is a disk (any collapsing cloud of gas forms a disk even if there is NO black hole present!)

Since we pass through the disk only once every 30 some million years, no humans existed the last time this happened so no one could have recorded what happened as they claim!

They also don't seem to understand "pole reversal". The Earth's magnetic poles have shifted many times and they seem to imply the entire Earth flips over which is a geographic pole reversal which has never happened.

I could go on with all the things wrong if you want :)

falls das hier noch andere verfolgen und nochmal nachsehen wollen, um was es ging, poste ich den link zu dem betreffenden video auf youtube nochmal mit.

ich bin sehr für die zusammenarbeit von wissenschaft und parawissenschaft. aber ein solches video herzustellen und zu verkaufen, welches praktisch einen bevorstehenden weltuntergang verkündet, und das ganze als wissenschaftlich fundierte recherche hinzustellen, finde ich schlicht verantwortungslos.
